The 2017 Shiraz has been matured for two years and shows a soft, round mouthfeel with berry and pepper aromas and flavours. This easy drinking style shows a soft peppery finish which lingers in the mouth and showcases the flavours of rotundone at its finest.
Here at Mountainside Wines we grow 10 acres of vines across the property and at maturity every March and April we make our wines onsite in our purpose-built winery. The location protects our vineyards and we have warm days, cool nights, and a long growing season. This provides good acid structure in our wines which supports depth of flavour and integration of aromas and flavours. Added to this are the unique soil conditions of granite loam over red clay allowing the flavours of the wine to shine. This means wines produced in our little corner of the Grampians are rich and full of flavour and aroma and represent a unique picture of the area.
